I purchased a used 2024 Ford Ranger from Dilawri Jeep Dodge Ram in Ottawa in July, 2026. My opinion of the dealership model is quite low in general, so keep in mind that my rating here is very ... subjective. Given my experiences with about 20 different dealerships over 20 years, a 4-star rating is an honest one. This is for the sales experience only, as I service my own vehicles. Pros: - The salesperson I dealt with (Eyad) was professional, courteous, and direct. They had my information in hand when I arrived, and were ready to evaluate my trade-in. - I did NOT have to deal with an AI agent. - The deal was fairly simple, and I got a good deal on a lightly used truck. Cons: - Trade-in value was insultingly low. Even after negotiating and trying to work out several different approaches, I still ended up with $4k less than another dealer offered. If they had a truck I wanted, they would have gotten my business instead. The initial offer was even less than the "sell now" automated offer you can get from AutoTrader. - I walked around inside the dealership for a good 10 minutes before my appointment. There were no other customers except one in the service area, and yet the dozen or so staff members who walked past me never acknowledged me, welcomed me, etc. - There were two outstanding mandatory safety recalls on the truck which were not disclosed, and which did not appear on the provided Carfax. That's on me for not running the VIN with Ford, but still something a dealer should catch before closing the sale. Everyone else does this stuff, so it's hard to fault Dilawri specifically. There's some 'sales manager' you're negotiating with who you're not allowed to see or negotiate with directly. Things are explicitly laid out in writing, but the important things you need to pay attention to are often glossed over. The bank offers a commission for vehicle loans, so those are typically aggressively sold by offering a lower list price when financing, offering lower payments over longer terms and higher rates to convince people to make poor financial choices, etc. Overall, the experience was pleasant and I appreciated the simplicity, professionalism, and quality of service provided by Eyad.

Got a good deal on a 2025 Taos. I found Eyad to be a 5 star salesman, and good listener who was knowledgeable about the vehicle in hand, I would recommend. I did find working with the financing department in my situation a bit more of a hassle than I would have liked, as they weren't always clear in their communication. Ultimately, its a good place for a large selection of used inventory and Eyad was great.
